At Crown & Anchor we have many events throughout the year. We like to celebrate important sporting occasions, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, New Year’s Eve, and of course our favourite – the Christmas party. We look forward to offering more of our popular wine and seasonal suppers, kids’ teas and don’t miss our Fish Fridays.

Things to do locally
The Crown & Anchor is well placed for day excursions to World Heritage sites and other areas of local interest. From Neolithic sites, medieval towns through to the Industrial Revolution there is something for everyone.
Local family outings, a flutter at the races, a bit of shopping or some pampering – it is all here on our door step.
The team at the Crown and Anchor would be delighted to help you organise your days out. Picnics can be supplied and transport organised.
Cycle rides
The area surrounding the Crown & Anchor is excellent for cycling with a variety of routes and terrain for all levels of cyclists. From climbing Ham Hill to Coombe Gibbet, past the White Horse in Marlborough to Lacock Abbey, or cycling in the Vale of Pewsey there are many sights to be seen in the most scenic landscape.
For those serious roadies we have our own Cycling Angel, who can help plan a tailored route, whether off-road or touring. He can accompany you on the ride or you simply join him on his daily outings! Most importantly is the knowledge of where to get the best slice of cake!

Partridge Room
With exposed oak beams, log burner, oak panelling and terracotta tiled flooring – this light room has doors opening out onto the terrace and is a perfect setting for birthdays, dinners, shoot parties, christmas parties, sporting events and wedding receptions. This smart and atmospheric room is suitable for a variety of business events also.

The book includes 82 pages of local walks, varying from a one mile village stroll from the Pub’s front door, to a full day’s 13 mile route! The book includes directions and information on places of interest.
