Eat & drink
At the Crown & Anchor we support British farmers and artisan award winning producers. We use the finest seasonal ingredients often locally sourced to create dishes that celebrate traditional British cooking with a contemporary twist.
Booking is highly recommended especially for weekends and our Sunday lunch, which includes our very popular roast with all the trimmings.
We are more than happy to accommodate a variety of dietary requirements please inform our friendly team.
The dining room
Our dining rooms are designed to be light and welcoming in summer and winter. The lower room has all the theatre of watching the kitchen at work. It is decorated in soft yellow and teal with settle seats and snaffle straps, and comfortable banquettes whilst the walls are hung with work from local artists.
The second dining room is a light and airy room looking onto the garden terrace. The doors open wide in the summer and the walls are covered with nearby landscapes of walks by a local artist.
The Dining Room sits up to 30 people.
The bar
The bar is a welcoming place to enjoy a drink or meal. Comfortable sofas with cricket tables, set in our panelled bar with flag stone flooring and a roaring fire.
Cosy up around the fire, four legged companion at your heel, with a local brewed ale and home made bar snacks. Or watch the world go slowly by from our favourite table in the window.
The Partridge Room – private dining
Named after members of the Bloomsbury Group who lived at Ham Spray House from 1924 until 1960.
With exposed oak beams, log burner, oak panelling and terracotta tiled flooring – this light room has doors opening out onto the terrace and is a perfect setting for birthdays, dinners, shoot parties, sporting events and wedding receptions.
This smart and atmospheric room is suitable for a variety of business events, from meetings to board meetings, networking to residential conferences – includes a screen and projector.
Breakfasts, brunches, lunches, teas and dinners can be arranged to suit your needs and budget.
The garden terrace
A rose and jasmine scented sun trap of a terrace, an ideal place to enjoy a cold glass of rose, beer, and al fresco dining on those English summer days. Contact the pub about booking the terrace.

The Crown & Anchor, a Free House, offers a range of real ales and a selection of artisan lagers and scrumptious ciders.
Wine
Our wine list is carefully selected to augment our food. The affordable and accessible list has wine from across the major wine growing regions of the world with a focus on classic varietals and blends from wonderful vineyards.
