LONG walks

Circular walks from Ham to outlying towns and villages, presented without detailed directions. Distances and general information are provided with each walk.

Walks 14-18 can be considered either as circular routes, or as alternative ways of covering a stage on a walk linked by the railway or the towpath of the Kennet & Avon Canal. Find out more.

These walks offer a welcoming pub at the destination where you can rest and refresh before walking back to the Crown & anchor – or call a taxi!

The Crown & anchor will be delighted to provide a packed lunch for all walks. This is especially appropriate where there is no pub en route.
